Journal Entry #14: Landscape on a Face

This picture shows a man that has grass and moss covering his face. There seem to be sheep or goats roaming on the picture too. It is not very high resolution, but the picture looks very realistic nevertheless.

To create this, I am assuming the editor got a picture of mossy grass from online as well as a picture of a man. They could have traced the picture of the man to create a selection and cut it out of the moss/grass similar to what we did with the Earth type. Then put this moss back onto the picture of the man onto his head. They could then use the content aware tool to put bits of the grass onto his chest and neck and areas of the face with features. They probably cut out pictures of trees and rotated them and put them on the head, as well as with the pictures of the sheep.

Texture is an important tool in this picture, because if the texture was not as rough or realistic, the picture would look indefinitely photoshopped. The three dimensional texture of the grass also adds to the realistic look.
